Illusion

The film introduces and places in contrast the illusions of the famous and beloved magician of the era, Rodolfo, with the manipulating power of the political regime at the time. Rodolfo likes to entertain his audience with his illusionistic tricks. At the beginning of each performance he welcomes people saying “Dear ladies and gentlemen”, while the official greeting of the era was “Dear comrades”. The short film seeks to answer how a person is able to create and preserve his/her own identity within the illusions of the society.
